I am not SoSo about this epic record
So So, the newly turned three-piece indie rock band, released mellow EP Impermanence. The EP is easy listening with a driving backbone and pulsing heartbeat led by Owen Mota’s vocals. Influenced by the departure of friend and former bandmate Frankie to new adventures, the newfound three-piece find their center with Impermanence.
Noise Machine Repeater on Repeat
Connecticut emo band, WAS AND WHEN, released Feast Your Eyes this past Friday. This EP salutes the droney and ethereal moods from the singles of “Hang in the Balance” and “Heavy Heart”(my personal favorite) while adding a pop flare. With a driving momentum and memorable hooks, Held allows his voice to be more present and soar over the tracks capturing the raw, real passion of the lyrics.
What Life Would Be Like: With Sprig
The indie-rock project, Sprig, released “What Life Would Be Like” last week. The Wilmington, NC band, recently rebranded from Rosemary, captures the essence of this niche genre with trance-like songs that immediately have your head nodding back and forth and your hand pressing the replay button.
Cassie’s Crutch: Debut Album
West Hartford based band, Cassie’s Crutch, released 10 song DEBUT album on February 12th. The jam band which was founded at The University of Hartford hones in on that classic emo sound with a new twist.

A Lunaris Release on the Lunar New Year
Much like the moon, solitarily orbiting, guiding us with its light, Mr. Joey Chimes takes his piano and crafts an entire world entitled LUNARIS. As he weaves the movements of the moon, he allows his listeners to fall into the sky among the stars. Drifting in and out of consciousness, he is able to demand your full attention while simultaneously letting you explore the deepest parts of your mind
Kilometers Release: “Better Off”
Kilometers is the fireside solo project we have been long awaiting from singer/songwriter Connor Waage (The Most). Restoring and breathing life into songs that had been sitting dormant from old college files at SUNY Purchase, or in James Palko’s voice memos, all came together in an apartment in Astoria, Queens where “Hear Thy Neighbor” was officially born.
The Deals: Clear and Severe
Chicago’s, The Deals put out full length album, Clear and Severe, on January 15th.
The whole album feels like a blast of unsung alt-rock radio hits and is a perfect demonstration of their tasteful use of vocal harmonies, and their own unique brand of “complicated structures made approachable”.
