Get “Up In The Morning” with Salmon Doza
Salmon Doza dropped “Up In The Morning” this past Saturday. Sam Mendoza of math-rock group Spiller swims solo for this project using their extreme guitar talents and vocals combined for a super unique sound.
The single captures a new side of Salmon Doza, using vocal influences and harmonies reminiscent of Bon Iver but keeping true to his classic guitar style. Salmon Doza always explores every single section of their voice, soaring into the rafters and back down, incorporating “speak-sing” sections, mellow harmonies providing a solid groove.
Last May, Salmon Doza dropped the full-length album, Maintenance, read all about it below, and I look forward to hearing what comes next from Mr. Doza. I assure you it will be something to wait for.
My review of: “Maintenance”
Groovy, catchy and even mystically cyclical, Maintenance has me diving head first into the fluid mind of Salmon Doza where their baited hooks keep me suspended between worlds.
Hey there! Thanks for reading.
